Designed in Montreal + 100% cruelty-free
Notes from Colab:
Quality and durability are important factors when we select materials for our bags, as well as ethical practices and sustainability with the fabric mills we work with. Special attention is also given to ensure the minimum amount of trace metals in the materials we use. We believe our customers appreciate not only the fashion aspect in our product, but the care put into what they wear.
We carry the values we have for our customers to our supply chain. We hand pick our manufacturing partners who are small factories to ensure that we share the same vision. Regular visits are made to our factories to oversee continued progress that we strive for year after year. Our factories must pass their BSCI audit, which is the global standard for business ethics, safety, procedure and hourly wages.
We require that all employees have a safe and sanitary working environment, consisting of the following protocols: no child labor, no forced labor, respectful treatment of all employees, as well as breaks throughout the day for light exercise and meals.
All our partners comply with the strict and ever-increasing wage minimums to ensure that all employees are paid fairly and any overtime is compensated.
We are always being mindful and working to improve. CO-LAB has a recycling program at our head office; all paper is repurposed and then recycled. Cardboard, glass and plastics are recycled as well. All our shipping cartons are repurposed or recycled. Our hangtags are made of 100% recycled materials.
Most importantly, not one single CO-LAB bag goes to waste. This is why we first offer to repair our products in order to reduce waste. Should a bag be returned, we repair it and donate it to someone in need. We also encourage all our customers to give our bags a second life. When it’s time for a new bag, please pass it along to someone who would love to carry it.
Re-usability is the best sustainability.
Polyurethane (P.U.) / Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
These materials are very durable. To remove any dirt, we recommend a drop of dish soap with a little water; gently wipe the area and allow to air dry.
Our Korean nylons are of the highest quality. To remove any dirt, we recommend a drop of dish soap with a little warm water; lightly massage the affected area. Use a clean cloth to remove excess soap then hang to dry.
Stains and pen marks are hard to remove from canvas. We do not recommend trying to wash (either by hand or machine) as it may worsen the blemish.
