The most magical luxury mulling spices for the holiday season created by Once Upon A Tea Leaf, mom and daughter duo out of Maple Ridge, BC. Premium cinnamon, star anise, cloves, all spice, dried apple pieces, dried quartered oranges, dried orange peels.

Zero-Proof.

Hot Apple Cider-
-Two bursting teaspoons of Once Upon a Tea Leaf Mulling Spices
-One Litre of Apple Juice
-Sugar or honey to taste

Add spices and juice to saucepan and Simmer on low heat for 15-30 minutes. Strain spices. Sweeten to taste.

Wine.

Classic Mulled Wine-
-Two bursting tablespoons of Once Upon a Tea Leaf Mulling Spices
-1/4 cup of sugar
-1/2 cup of water
-Bottle of Red Wine ( cheap and cheerful)
-Brandy or Orange Liqueur to taste

In a saucepan, combine spices, sugar and water. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes until some of the water has evaporated. Add wine and bring to temperature slowly. Add brandy or Orange liqueur to taste. Serve hot.

Pitcher of Spiced Sangria
-Two bursting tablespoons of Once Upon a Tea Leaf Mulling Spices
-Bottle or Red or White Wine
-3 cups of fruit juice ( we like pomegranate with red wine and white cranberry or apple juice with white wine.
-chopped fruit
-ice

In advance- Combine juice and spices in a saucepan. Simmer for 20 mins on low heat. Strain. Chill.
In a pitcher combine your chilled mulled juice, wine and chopped fruit. Srve with Ice.

Infused Cocktails.

Spiced Gin Fizz.
-Two bursting tablespoons of Once Upon a Tea Leaf Mulling Spices
-1/4 cup of sugar
-1/2 cup of water
-Half an ounce of lemon juice
-Gin ( 1 ounce)
-Prosecco
-Cranberry for garnish
Make a simple syrup by combining mulling spices, water and sugar in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat, strain and chill.

In a flute, combine 1 ounce simple syrup, lemon juice, gin and top with prosecco. Garnish with fresh cranberry.

Old Fashioned Christmas -( Pre-batched old fashions)
We always pre-batch these so we can serve them easily after dinner.

-Two bursting teaspoons of Once Upon a Tea Leaf Mulling Spices
-A bottle of Bourbon or rye whiskey
-1/2 cup of sugar
-1/2 cup of water
-4 teaspoons of water
-Angostura Bitters
-Orange Peel for Garnish

Make a simple syrup by combining mulling spices, water and sugar in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat, strain and chill.
In a decanter: Pour 4 ounces of simple syrup, 6 dashes of bitters, 8 ounces of bourbon or rye whiskey, 4 teaspoons of water. Place this mixture on a tray with 4 glasses. When it comes time to serve, pour evenly into 6 glasses with ice ( we like king cubes) and rim the glass with an orange peel followed by a twist of the peel to express the oils. ( The orange peel part may seem over the top but the aromatics will take this cocktail from fine to fantastic. Trust us. don't skip this part.
